Refund & Returns Policy

By purchasing any product, ticket, service, membership, or subscription from our properties (the “Services”), you agree to this Refund & Returns Policy, which forms part of the Master Terms of Use.


1) General Principles

All sales are final unless a specific section below or local law states otherwise.

Where refunds are permitted, we refund to the original payment method only.

Processing time: 5–10 business days after approval (your bank/processor may take longer).

Fees: Non-refundable third-party fees (e.g., payment processing, shipping) aren’t returned unless we made an error.

Abuse & Fraud: We may refuse or revoke refunds for policy abuse, fraud, chargeback misuse, or resale violations.

Force Majeure: If events/services are disrupted by circumstances beyond our control (e.g., government order, extreme weather), see Section 9.


2) Definitions (Quick Map)

Tickets/Events: Collider, Awaken the Night.

Software/SaaS & Digital: Engineered Overkill Limited, Sugarkube (memberships/portals), Brainkandy (digital media/licensing), Astron (online coursework).

Physical Campus, Workshops & Labs: Astron.

Media Services / Content Licensing: Brainkandy.


3) Tickets & Events (Collider • Awaken the Night)

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.

Name changes/transfers: Allowed only via our official transfer or resale tools (if provided) and up to the cutoff announced for each event. Unauthorized resale may void the ticket without refund.

Cancellations: If an event is canceled with no reschedule, you’ll receive a face-value refund (excluding delivery/processing fees that we don’t recover from third parties).

Reschedules/Postponements: Your ticket remains valid for the new date. If you cannot attend the rescheduled date, you may request a refund within 7 calendar days of the reschedule announcement (or as posted on the event page).

Partial Performance / Curfew / Artist Changes: Lineup changes, set-time shifts, venue or layout adjustments, or shortened shows due to safety or legal curfews are not grounds for a refund.

Denied Entry / Removal: Violation of venue rules, code of conduct, or law (including intoxication, harassment, weapons, contraband) voids entry without refund.

No-Shows: Not eligible for refunds.

Weather: Outdoor events run rain or shine unless declared unsafe by officials; weather alone is not refundable.


4) Software, SaaS & Digital Subscriptions (Engineered Overkill Limited • Sugarkube • Astron online • Brainkandy digital)

Trials: If a free trial is offered, cancellations before the trial ends incur no charge. Charges after the trial period are non-refundable.

Monthly Subscriptions: Cancel anytime effective at the end of the current billing cycle. No prorated refunds for partial months unless required by law or expressly stated in a promotion.

Annual Plans: Discounted annual plans are non-refundable after the first 14 days. Within the first 14 days, a pro-rated refund may be issued minus (a) used months at the then-current monthly rate and (b) non-recoverable third-party fees.

Downloadables / Templates / Digital Assets: Non-refundable once accessed or downloaded. If files are corrupted or inaccessible due to our systems, we’ll re-provision access or replace the files.

Platform Downtime: We aim for high uptime. Temporary outages or maintenance windows are not refundable but may be credited at our discretion for extended disruptions.


5) Memberships & Communities (Sugarkube • Collider fan programs • Awaken the Night programs)

Recurring Dues: Billed per your plan. You may cancel anytime; access remains until the end of the paid term. No partial refunds for time not used.

Removal for Policy Violations: Breaches of community standards, harassment, doxxing, or manipulation of referral systems may result in termination without refund.

Founding/Legacy Tiers: Special introductory or limited tiers follow the same rules unless an addendum explicitly provides a different refund window.


6) Astron Campus (Workshops • Labs • In-Person Education)

Seat Reservations: Fully refundable within 72 hours of purchase if the workshop date is more than 14 days away.

Within 14 Days of Start: Refunds are not available; you may transfer your seat to another eligible participant up to 48 hours before the start time.

No-Shows: Not refundable.

Canceled/Rescheduled Workshops: If Astron cancels with no reschedule, you’ll receive a full refund of tuition paid to us. If rescheduled, your registration moves to the new date; if you can’t attend, request a refund within 7 days of notice.


7) Brainkandy Media (Creative Services • Licensing • Production Days)

Strategy/Creative Retainers: Fees are non-refundable once discovery/creative work begins. Unused hours may be rolled forward within 60 days at our discretion.

Production Days (Filming/Recording):

Cancel ≥7 days before call time: 50% refund of day rate (deposits for third-party rentals are non-refundable if already committed).

Cancel <7 days: No refund (we may allow one courtesy reschedule if resources permit).

Licensing: Content licenses are non-refundable once delivered or access is granted.


8) Physical Merchandise (If/When Offered)

Eligibility: New, unused items in original packaging within 30 days of delivery.

Non-Returnable: Custom items, clearance goods, perishable/consumable items, or items marked final sale.

Defects or Wrong Item: Notify us within 7 days of delivery with photos; we’ll repair, replace, or refund at our option.

Return Shipping: Customer is responsible unless we shipped the wrong or defective item. Use trackable shipping; we’re not responsible for items lost in transit.

Refund Method: Issued after inspection. Shipping and payment fees are non-refundable unless caused by our error.


9) Force Majeure (All Brands)

We’re not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., acts of nature, war, labor disputes, government orders, public health emergencies, utility failures, severe weather). Where possible, we’ll reschedule, credit, or honor tickets/registrations at a later date. Refunds follow the brand-specific rules above for cancellations vs. reschedules.


10) How to Request a Refund or Transfer

Submit a request using the portal or email listed below from the original purchase email.

Include: order number, item/ticket/plan, purchase date, and reason.

For event reschedules, submit within the stated 7-day window.

Approved refunds return to the original payment method; we cannot refund to a different card/account.

11) Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Please contact us first; most issues are resolvable quickly.

Filing unmerited chargebacks may result in account suspension, ticket voiding, collection of outstanding balances, and permanent ban across properties.

We provide processors with evidence of fulfillment and policy disclosure when contesting improper chargebacks.


12) Region-Specific Rights

Where local consumer laws provide mandatory refund rights (e.g., cooling-off periods), we will honor those rights. If any clause conflicts with non-waivable local law, the local law controls for that purchase only; all other terms remain in force.


13) Policy Updates

We may update this Policy periodically. The “Last Updated” date above indicates recency. Continued purchases after updates constitute acceptance.


14) Brand Appendices (Short Form)

A) Engineered Overkill Limited — Software/SaaS

Trials: cancel before trial end = no charge.

Monthly: cancel anytime, no prorated refunds.

Annual: 14-day pro-rated window as described in §4.

Digital downloads: non-refundable once accessed.

B) Awaken the Night — Operations/Shows

Tickets: final sale; transfers only via official tools.

Cancellations: face-value refund if no reschedule.

Reschedule: 7-day refund window from announcement.

C) Brainkandy — Media & Licensing

Retainers: non-refundable once work begins.

Production days: 50% refund ≥7 days; none <7 days.

Licenses: non-refundable once delivered.

D) Collider — Events

Final sale; ID must match ticket; no-show = no refund.

Safety/removal/weather/lineup changes: not refundable.

Cancel vs. reschedule per §3.

E) Sugarkube — Membership/Community

Recurring dues: cancel anytime; no partial refunds.

Removal for violations: no refund.

F) Astron — Campus

72-hour refund if >14 days out; otherwise transfer up to 48 hours before start.

Cancel/no-reschedule = full refund.
